Siem Reap - Banteay Srei, Ta Promh and Angkor Thom Ta Keo Temples

I went for breakfast at my accommodation at 9am as it is included in the price. It was omelette and toast with some fruit … it was okay. It filled a gap. I have been up in the night with diarohea and a very sore tummy. I took one anti diarohea tablet at 4am and take another with breakfast.
My driver Leng picked me up at 10am to start our tour.
Leng suggests that he buys me a slab of Diet Coke for me to have during my stay. He said that he can get it cheaper than me. He tells me $15 for 24 and I tell him that the equivalent price that I have been paying would be $12 for 24. I give him 50000 KHR and he does the deal at a local shop. I am not sure how much he paid but I am happy for him to make something out of it. He immediately puts some cans on ice for me under my seat. This guy is trying to spoil me.
I was not able to purchase my Angkor Wat ticket online … it kept sending me in circles and telling me that I had not uploaded a photograph. I tried many times.

So our first stop today had to be at Angkor Enterprise for me to buy my 3 day ticket. It was easy, not many people there, they took my photo and printed my ticket. $62 USD for a 3 day pass. The week is an expensive week for me so it is good that my accommodation is cheap and includes breakfast.
I have spoken to other people who managed to buy their tickets online at the Angkor Enterprise website so I am not sure why I was having issues. Maybe a temporary glitch.
The first temple that we visit is Banteay Srei and is a 10th century Hindu temple.

It is a beautiful day and there are many places to enjoy the view … both inside and outside.

I took the photo above to show the block work. So much work has gone into these structures.

Just a warning about the musicians … I did give at this site but they seem to be at every site and they all seem to be victims of land mines … I am smelling a scam.
Across the road from Banteay Srei is a nice lake view.

Next stop was Ta Prohm Temple, also known as the Tomb Raider Temple as it is where some of the movie scenes were filmed.

I love the windows and they often frame a beautiful view.
Next we went to Bayon Temple and Angkor Thom Ta Keo. I think that the general area is called Angkor Thom and there are a number of temples close by each other. My driver also referred to it as Angkor Village and it is quite close to Angkor Wat. I would have to spend a lot more time here to work it out and I don’t have that now. It is so hard to get photos without people in them.

I think I got too hot after this and really didn’t take any decent photos.
It has only been 4 hours but I have had enough in the hot sun. Tomorrow we are going to start earlier.
