Pine Creek and Beyond
Pine Creek is the home of the rare Hooded Parrot and the Lazy Lizard Tavern

In 3 days time I will leave Pine Creek … not for ever but for a good long break 😀 Pine Creek is the home of the Hooded Parrot, pictured above. A very beautiful bird that is a must see for bird lovers. I must thank the Lazy Lizard for the opportunity to work there ... but more about that later ... there is a lot happening there and more to tell in the future.
I am travelling to Perth and Adelaide, in Australia and then on to New Zealand to visit family before a Whitsunday Cruise with family, leaving Brisbane and going as far north as Cairns. After this week long cruise with P & O I am heading to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.
Even though I just intended this page as a quick intro I can not leave without adding some more photographs that I have taken of the Hooded Parrots.

Some good looking birds have quite angry looking faces when you view them close up but the Hooded Parrots are such pretty looking birds. Always happy, always pretty.
I hope that some bird lovers will get pleasure from my photos. Hooded Parrots are only found in the wild in this area though many people do breed them in captivity. I enjoy having them in the wild in my daily life.
I will post more about Pine Creek and the Hooded Parrots when I return from my Feathered Escapades. There is much to tell about both.
