Perth ... here I come

I say "crap aircraft" as I booked a Virgin flight and travelled on an Air North Plane. Very budget. Oh well I have moved on from that. Our road trip to Margaret River helped to improve my mood.

Road trip to Margaret River with Lara and Eva.

Eva is a German Short Haired Pointer. While at Margaret River we went for a walk in the Rotary Park. Beautiful area for walking and I loved this view behind Lara and Eva.

Eva loves to get in the water any chance that she can get. Eva is scared of other dogs and can get aggressive towards other dogs due to this. We had to make sure that we kept her away from other dogs during our walk. Dogs do need to be on a lead at the Rotary Park.

Eva did manage to coax Lara further into the water, Eva is a very strong dog and it is hard to hold her back.

We stayed at Villawarra Air BnB. I was initially a bit shocked at how "rustic" it was including the lack of cleaning and the outdoor bathroom. Having said this I did love our stay there. The birds and nature made up for any failings that it may have had.

I had a number of bird "lifer" experiences at Villawarra. The first being Blue Fairy Wren. On my first morning there I was laying in bed and there was a number of them in the tree outside my bedroom and they appeared to be eating something on the door which made it look like they were trying to get into the bedroom to see me. My daughter Lara made the comment "In the Northern Territory you have to go into muddy crocodile infested swamps to see birds but in Margaret River they try to get in the window to see you".
