More Perth and Margaret River
Lunch at Margaret River with Lara

I am currently on day 28 of my trip and I am so far behind with documenting what I have been doing. Really it is a good thing that I have not had time to sit around and update this website ... just too much happening. I have had trouble redirecting my domain name to my site and today I managed that so I am reinspired to get on with things here.

Today www.featheredescapades.com was born πŸ˜„ For about 15 years (when I was younger) I did work in web site design and maintenance but have struggled over recent years to get something started for myself. Technology has changed so much and I had all but given up on ever having a web site again ... yay me, I did it.

Eva relaxing after a big day in Margaret River

To carry on where I left off ... I am staying with my daughter Lara and her dog Eva, a German Short Haired Pointer, at an Air BnB in Margaret River, Villawarra.

There were so many birds at Villawarra including: Laughing Kookaburra, White Ducks, New Holland Honey Eaters, Australian Ring Neck Parrots, Willy Wagtails, Spotted Pardiolotte. I could hear Black Cockatoos but did not see them. When walking in the Rotary Park an Eastern Rosella flew in front of me when I was walking on the path. It hid in the bushes, not far from my face, I could see it but not get a clear photo. Another lifer for me.

Many of the birds visited the bird water bath in the garden. See video of Australian Ring Neck Parrot https://youtu.be/Z9_FrgfjkJI

There were also many kangaroos around Villawarra also. We had to keep Eva on a lead as she was way too interested in them πŸ˜€

It was a little bit cooler in the mornings and evenings in Margaret River but the days were beautiful. Villawarra is a bird and wildlife lovers paradise. Thank you Lara for taking me there ❀️ I am in no way associated with Villawarra Air BnB but am just letting you know that if you are struggling to find birds ... it is the place to go.

Cows in Cowaramup

We stopped in the town of Cowaramup on our way back to Perth. A nice little town with cows everywhere.
