Nha Trang to Phan Rang - Easy Rider Trip

This was such a yummy breakfast. Bo Me - beef served sizzling to the table. I can’t wait to eat this again.

There are beautiful coastal views all the way today.

They use the roads for many purposes here 😆

Mr Qua said he could show me the moon if I wanted … they liken the texture of this fossilized coral to the moon’s surface.

It was a lovely area to explore with beautiful rocks.

Next stop was to a winery - I am not sure if there is any alcohol in the wine but it tasted good. I sat on a little red chair and it broke … I sat in the sand for a while. The entertainment area was under the grape vines and I had to stoop to walk. The dehydrated fruit snaps were yummy. Everything was available to buy but I felt that the 1kg packs of fruit were a bit big. Maybe they should do a multi pack with some of each item. I would have purchased this … I did buy a bottle of wine though.

Wine … don’t mind if I do
The trip along the coast from here was beautiful and we saw many kite surfers.
We had a late lunch which was nice though I was concerned about how long it had been sitting there and there were blow flies in the cabinet. Despite my concerns it tasted good and I did not get sick.

Just before arriving into Phan Rang we had a stop for stretching and photos.

In Phan Rang I walked up to see a temple on a hilltop. I thought that the walk up would be challenging as there was so many steps. I did it for the challenge and forgot to see what the place was called. I did take a couple of photos up there but you could see for miles in every direction. I could not go into the actual temple as I was wearing shorts - never mind the exercise was worth it - too much sitting on my bum on the motor bike.

Next stop I had some laughs. It was at a pottery where local minority Cham people make pottery using traditional methods … by hand … with no machine or wheel.

There was a group of students on an excursion for the day and I had some fun with them. They practised their English on me. They were so sweet. They took videos of me for their class project 🤣

They were trying to teach me how to make a heart with my hands … kids think old people know nothing 😀

This lady was hilarious. She did a pottery demonstration for me … making a round bowl in 3 minutes … she does not have a wheel so she spins around the pot.
She would take a green leaf, paint it with some pink powder, put herbs and other stuff inside then wrap it up and put it in her mouth. She was chewing on these while we were there. The kids said that she uses this instead of toothpaste … not sure how that is as the few teeth she had in her mouth were totally black.
The kids said that it is called trau pronounced joe in a low tone. Anyway she shoved one of these things in my mouth as I was investigating what she was doing. I went with it and chewed it for a minute or so, the kids said I would get drunk. I did not notice any drunk feelings and spat it out after a couple of minutes as it was not pleasant at all and I was worried about my teeth 😀.
This lady also touched my breasts … both of them and the kids said that she wanted to know if they were real. Anyway these lovely people were a lot of fun. They made my day.
One of the kids suggested that we visit her family restaurant for dinner.
The restaurant was a lot fancier than any other I have been to in Vietnam so far and this is reflected in the price - still a very good deal though.

The dinner was about half eaten when I remembered to take a photo. We had oysters, I roughly counted was 15, prawns and asparagus with garlic, 2 beers and a coke. We paid 288000 vnd $17 aud … so you can still have a nice meal for 2 here at a very reasonable price. I had prawns and oysters without any allergic reaction. The girl who we met earlier was not there which was a shame, I was looking forward to seeing her again.
