Da Lat to Nha Trang - Easy Rider Trip

After checking out of our homestay we started the day with Banh Mi for breakfast.

The Banh Mi I had was the freshest bread I have had since being in Vietnam … as I am a breadaholic ... I loved it.

Tuyen Lam Lake looked beautiful as we rode past this morning on our way to the old train station.

As we left Da Lat we saw some beautiful views. I have enjoyed my time here and so far it is my favourite place in Vietnam … I would like to come back one day and explore this city.

Next visit was to an amazing temple … still in Da Lat. We seemed to come and go around Da Lat … Da Lat has so much to see.

Chua Linh Phuoc … I absolutely loved this temple. It was made with recycled materials and is known as the temple of the gods.

This series of temples were made in beautiful mosaic. This photo was a closeup of the work.

There were so many things to see here … it really was a highlight of my trip.
A funny thing happened here. There were street vendors selling food out on the street. All of a sudden they were yelling and running with their carts. There were hot coals and fresh leaves flying off their carts. I looked in disbelief as I did not know what was going on. I missed the action shot though.

Next thing I hear sirens … the food vendors had advanced warning that the police were coming so they were running to get their carts off the street, where it is illegal to sell … sad but looked so funny.

Lucky there were crowds of people on the street as this slowed the police arrival.

Have you ever wondered what to do with your ever lasting daisies? This budha is covered with 650000 ever lasting daisies and is 17 metres tall.

After all this heavenly beauty I then go down to hell.

This place just goes on and on … the next photos are what I took down in hell. Mr Qua asked me if I was scared … I said no not scared but the people who dreamed this up are scary. Evidently if I am not a good person I will go here 😀

Anyway, I took lots of photos but I think that you get the idea. It was quite hellish down there.

Back up top again and there was an area featuring beautiful furniture. I asked if these were the possessions of the gods but no they are for sale.

The Vietnamese Dong currency has way too many zeros anyway so I sadly did not have the patience at the time to work out what these pieces were worth. Maybe one day I can go back and look some more. I think that I could spend a half day here and not just an hour or so. It was awe inspiring and yet tranquil at the same time.

I thought that this was the swastika symbol, I saw it a few times at cemeteries. It denotes budha’s footsteps.

Finally we are away from the beautiful temple and back on the road to Nha Trang. We stop to enjoy some beautiful plum blossoms.
We climb high up into the mountains and see more waterfalls on the side of the road. Evidently the water is coming from the north because there has been no rain here.

I do not know what happened to the photos of me on the bridge but there is too many photos of me anyway. The narrow suspension bridge was not as scary as I thought it would be. I walked the full length and back again. The bridge was built for the local minority people to gain access to the fields where they work.

View from the hotel in Nha Trang. Seven Seas Hotel.
Nha Trang was a bustling, lively city. After dinner we went walking to the beach and had some drinks at a local bar.

We were not sure what that monument was so I walked up to see and there was an art exhibition in there.
I am looking forward to tomorrow as we will be travelling along the coast for a good part of the day.
